Chimney Work

Today Carolina Chimney Sweeps has been cleaning and repairing our coal fireplaces and chimneys with the hope that we can one day install gas coals for functional fireplaces in the parlor and dining room. Exciting!

And here is my cat, Jack, who must have been curious at some point because that stuff on his face/under his chin is definitely coal soot. :) Oh Jack, you think you're so sneaky....

A Proper Closet

Saturday morning I decided to install a closet in Will's room. It was very easy and I'm very happy to finally have it done! Elana's is next...

I think we have finally made a decision about what colors to paint our house!  :) I'd love to have more than 5 colors someday but for now, our budget stops there... so without further ado:

Main Siding: SW Belvedere Cream (yellow)
Main Trim: SW White Hyacinth (off-white)
Gable Siding: SW Empire Gold (gold)
Accent Trim: SW Antiquarian Brown (very warm brown)
Accent Color: SW Dutch Tile Blue (medium gray blue)
