Olsen has been working hard to get A LOT of new siding up. It looks great (although I still have no idea when/what color the house will be painted...)!

Also, there's work being done to the stairs. We have to have the edge rebuilt (since there was just a wall before) so you can see where we trimmed a little off the stairs and a little from the floor upstairs. We'll also have to have the entire balluster/spindles/rail made... good times.

Front Door Progress - by Holly

Today the old duplex doors came out and the new front door + sidelights are going in! They don't have glass yet--just plywood--but it's one of those things that will feel really different just to have it in the space. Thanks to Neil for working on this after a full day of work!

Screen Porch - by Holly

Work on the screen porch has begun! As you can see, we actually have a few doors now; the back door into the kitchen is fully functional and the sliding unit has been installed in the family room. I'm so glad we chose a sliding door so that we can utilize all the space of the porch. Also, it will overlook/connect the backyard perfectly and let in so much light--ooo, I just can't wait! A cleaning crew came through last week and the place is really starting to shine. It's funny how great a house can look without drywall. :) With rough-ins basically complete, I can feel us being in the home stretch. We need to figure out some final details on how much of the house we'll finish before move in, but in basically 2 months, we could be moving in!!! :) I like to think that anyway...
